2017 is not the first year I’ve been absent from church a lot – my fluctuating conditions mean that sometimes it’s just not possible to attend, or at least not a good idea. And this year, my wife has had health challenges of her own too. But I think this is the first time I’ve missed the entire of Advent and Christmas. So it’s been an unusual one.
